OLG families can participate in several programs that use their ordinary purchases to raise money for our school. None of these programs is required, but families are encouraged to participate if they can.
Scrip is a program in which families purchase gift cards for major retailers, which they can use at face value. For each card purchased, the retailer contributes between 2-15% of the face value to OLG. To learn more about the Scrip program and see a list of retailers, click here. Our school ID number is L643219824254.
You can order online or on paper, and turn in a check for your purchases to the school office by each order date. Scrip cards are available within a week after the order date. Contact the Scrip Coordinator with any questions. The deadlines for placing orders are as follows: November 3, November 14-18 (Barnes & Noble Bookfair contest), December 2, December 16, January 13, February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5.
Artsonia is the World's Largest Student Art Museum and designed to connect parents and families with their child's creative activities at school. All of your child’s artwork can now be published into a permanent archive on Artsonia.
All new artwork from OLG art class will be uploaded at school and parents can also upload images that may be sitting around the house! Once the artwork is published on Artsonia, children can enter contests, family members can leave comments for the artist and order keepsakes with their child's artwork on it. You can even upload art from your children who have graduated from OLG as a permanent archive. Family members can purchase high-quality custom keepsakes with your child's art. OLG receives 20% of your purchase. Contact Danette Halloran with any questions.
Box Tops for Education
Please clip the Box Tops for Education from any General Mills products, and put them in the collection box on the wall across from the receptionist’s desk.
Fundraising Events and Sales
- Marathon-of-Giving is our largest fundraiser, and contributes essential funds to our budget. The collection period begins in late September with Marathon itself on the first Saturday in October. Second grade parents host a pancake breakfast during Marathon season.
- Carnival is a night of fun, games and fundraising for OLG families. It takes place in the spring, and is “hosted” by fourth and fifth grade parents.
Thank you for supporting OLG through these fundraising programs!
