8th Graders Explore Washington, D.C.

Just a few days after graduation, the majority of the OLG 8th grade class headed to Washington, D.C.! They had a trip packed full of exciting stops and experiences. In addition to the destinations below, the group met up with OLG Alumni Paul Hallett who is a Legislative Assistant at the U.S. House of Representative and former St. Paul Mayor and U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Their other destinations included: Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, White House, Library of Congress, U.S. Capitol Tour, Air and Space Museum, Iwo Jima Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, MLK Jr. Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Holocaust Memorial Museum, The Newseum, WWII Memorial and Washington Monument, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial, Gettysburg and Mt. Vernon.
